The Port of Tarragona has announced that it has begun work on installing the bollards on the Balears Wharf. A total of 33 bollards with a capacity of 200 tons each will be installed to provide mooring for the world's largest cruise liners.

Quan la nova infraestructura estigui en funcionament, augmentarà la capacitat per rebre més visitants i en millors condicions. Tindrà una línia d'atracada total de 700 metres, atès que en 240 dels 460 metres es podrà amarrar a banda i banda i també s'hi ha afegit la zona de l'escullera de Llevant.
